DiliMUN 2021
  • News

DiliMUN is the first Model United Nation (MUN) organized in Armenia. It is an educational simulation and academic activity in which participants can learn about diplomacy, international relations and the United Nations. MUN involves and teaches participants speaking, debating and writing skills in addition to critical thinking, teamwork and leadership abilities. It is meant to engage students and allow them to develop a deeper understanding of current world issues. Each participant, who is also known as a delegate, represents their assigned country in a specific committee with a particular focus and topics indicated through set agenda items.

Organized by students of UWC Dilijan, DiliMUN aims to give the talented youth a platform to challenge themselves academically, have a model experience of MUN, and become global citizens aware of our world.

The theme of this year is ‘Rise up and Walk’, partially inspired by the quote “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” The wake of a new decade presents a unique opportunity for states to reflect on the progress of their past, and set new frameworks for their futures. The theme of this year’s DiliMUN conference offers delegates the unique opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the past, acknowledge the challenges of the present and propose tangible solutions for the future.

The conference will be held online from April 16 to April 18, 2021. In current difficult circumstances, adaptability is of the utmost importance - our students seized this opportunity to expand the scope of the conference from just the Caucasus to international, so DiliMUN will be a great chance to learn, grow and have fun with students all around the world.

Please register as a delegate or as a school!
