Katya Guryeva
  • Stories of Alumni

Our alumna Katya Guryeva (Russia, UWCD’17) recently graduated from University College London (UCL) with First Class Honours with a BA in European Social and Political Studies, specialising in Urban Planning with Danish and Spanish. Her time at UCL and her year abroad at the University of Copenhagen gave her an interdisciplinary skillset to approach urban challenges, and an international perspective on how we can make cities more resilient and inclusive. Katya, who spent some time in Armenia over her BA studies, said: “For my dissertation, I was able to apply my learnings from the last four years to explore the potential for blue and green infrastructure in Yerevan, Armenia, a city very close to my heart.” It is heart-warming that Katya’s Armenia/UWC Dilijan experience served her well in her university studies.
