Congratulations to Maxim Gorgan (Moldova, UWCD’23) on receiving the 2026 Alumni in Action Award!

Maxim has been recognised for his leadership of the UWC National Committee (NC) of Moldova, where he oversees all activities. He is also an official volunteer with the UWC International office, where he cochaired multiple GSP selections and took part in the first UWC International Application Pathway selections. This year he also volunteered with the NC of Canada.

Pursuing a double major in Chemistry and Mathematics at Lewis & Clark College in Oregon, USA, Maxim is actively engaged in his college community and tutors fellow students.

Maxim is the first Moldovan student to benefit from the Alexander Tynkovan scholarship programme at UWCD, which encourages recipients to be active volunteers in their communities.

Around 30 UWCD alumni are involved in national committees of their countries. We are proud that Maxim and others are eager to give back to the UWC movement.
