Supporter in Focus: Alexander Tynkovan

Alexander Tynkovan, who established the first-ever scholarship programme for Moldovan and Romanian students at UWC Dilijan two years ago, enjoyed a lively gathering with his scholarship recipients during his November visit. We are deeply grateful to Alexander for his generous gift of education, empowering four young people each year. Alexander’s first scholar at our school, Maxim Gorgan (Moldova, UWCD'23) is volunteering for his country’s UWC National Committee, and he and Valeria Mihalachi (Moldova, UWCD'25) were the inaugural interns at ALT Foundation established by Alexander Tynkovan in Moldova.

Dr Vladimir Yakunin has been supporting UWCD scholars over the last five years. During the graduation he met with his two current scholars - Aleksandr Grichenko (Russia, UWCD’25) and Elina Mosoian (Russia, UWCD’26) - and an alum Erdni Mangutov (Russia, UWCD’24).
