Ruben Harutyunyan, Founder and CEO of Henderson Fashion Group, has been supporting scholarships at UWC Dilijan since 2014, the very start. Ruben is actively involved in a number of other educational and philanthropic initiatives, including Ayb School and Aznavour Foundation. We are grateful to Ruben for transforming the lives of ten generations of UWCD students.
Varda Avetisyan, entrepreneur and owner of Tava restaurant, helped make the festive dinner at our inaugural Alumni Reunion on 1 August a truly memorable occasion. Tava welcomed our alumni with a programme designed to reconnect them with Armenian traditions - from music to lavash-making.
This year, 15 of our students participated in the Fermat Contest, an international mathematics competition organised by the University of Waterloo’s Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing.
In 2024, Katya Guryeva (Russia, UWCD ’17) ran 862 km across Armenia along the Transcaucasian Trail, setting a Fastest Known Time with her team. Her journey is now featured in the short film Across Armenia, created by Katya and fellow UWCD alumni.
