Bio
I have been teaching the Armenian language and literature at Dilijan Central School for nine years. Prior to it I worked in state schools teaching the Armenian language and literature to middle and high school students. I became very interested in IB after a training course in IB MYP (Middle Years Programme), a concept based teaching course organised by the School of Young Politicians in Moscow. I have also taken part in online workshops and seminars offered by EduArmenia. I consider myself a life-long learner and always try to enrich my knowledge in teaching and learning.
What is the favourite part of the course you teach?
Comparison between Armenian and International books after studying and discussing them with students.
Which teaching method do you prefer and why?
I really like using new methods and different techniques for getting better results and making teaching an enjoyable process for my students. I am especially interested in methods that develop critical thinking.
Who is your role model or mentor or who inspires you?
My university professor of literature is my role model who helped me discover the fascinating world of literature.
What is your life motto?
My life motto is “There is always space for growth. You only need to work for it.”
What are the three things you can't imagine your life without?
I can’t imagine my life without my lovely family, my interesting job and my beloved country.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to read books, to spend time in nature with my family or meet my friends.
