Bio
I became a teacher to create a safe and comfortable space for children, something I felt was missing during my own school years. The classroom is where I can foster an environment where every student feels valued and encouraged. I began my teaching career with Teach for Armenia in a small village school back in 2017. This experience solidified my belief that teachers can profoundly impact a person's life. Over the years, I have worked with students of different ages, which has broadened my understanding of their unique needs and learning styles. I am committed to promoting equality and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
What is the favourite part of the course you teach?
My favourite part of the course I teach is the mutual learning experience with students. I believe education is a two-way street, where I not only impart knowledge but also learn from my students. Through open discussions and interactive activities, I create opportunities for students to share their unique perspectives and insights. This collaborative approach often leads to discovering new facets of the subject matter that I hadn't considered before.
Which teaching method do you prefer and why?
I prefer a student-centred teaching approach that incorporates games into the learning process. This method engages students practically and makes learning enjoyable for everyone. It also allows me to cater to each child's strengths, fostering an inclusive environment where every student can actively participate and succeed.
Who is your role model or mentor or who inspires you?
My students inspire me every day.
What is your life motto?
You can't judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree.
What are the three things you can't imagine your life without?
Mountains, colours, people around me
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Hiking, exploring new places and activities, walking and running, painting
