Bio
After my education I started out as a visual artist, creating paintings of colourful abstract landscapes in my studio. At some point, it was time for a change and being passionate about art as well as wanting to see the world, what could be better than teaching art to young people and living in a foreign country at the same time. I have been teaching abroad ever since in various international schools in Africa and Europe. I enjoy experiencing all the different cultures and learning from them.
What is the favourite part of the course you teach?
The practical side of the subject, creating art.
Which teaching method do you prefer and why?
Together form ideas, learn from each other and work as a team.
What advice would you give to a student of your subject?
Explore as many different media and techniques as possible. Enjoy experimenting and finding new ways to express yourself visually. Do not throw ‘failed’ work away, but re-use it to make something new.
Who is your role model or mentor or who inspires you?
In my years in Africa, I’ve met some very special people that selflessly and tirelessly worked under difficult circumstances to improve the lives of others. I greatly admire them.

Being positive makes all the difference.
What are the three things you can't imagine your life without?
My husband, fruits and pencils.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Going for walks, read, make art, watch movies, listen to drama podcasts.
