Bio
I was born and raised on the southern island of the Philippines. Growing up in a community of varied ethnolinguistic groups, I acquired 6 languages. As a student, I was very competitive participating in several math, science, and literary competitions. I have worked in several universities in the Philippines either as a university lecturer and as an academic researcher. I have also worked briefly as a content editor in a small publishing company and as a paralegal in a law firm specialising in intellectual property.

What is the favourite part of the course you teach?
I love all fields of math, whether analysis or applications. However, in my experience, students enjoy the statistics part the most because of its many practical and apparent applications.

Which teaching method do you prefer and why?
The perfect classroom for me is where there is a free flow of ideas between and among the students and teacher/facilitator, and where students are not afraid or shy to share their ideas and opinions.

What advice would you give to a student of your subject?
Be curious, ask questions and explore the implications of your questions.

Who is your role model or mentor or who inspires you?
Jaime Escalante.

What is your life motto?
There is more to learn.

What are the three things you can't imagine your life without?
The air I breathe, the water I drink, and the earth I live on.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Reading fantasy novels, binge-watching my favourite shows, and some outdoor activities.
