Bio
I’ve been teaching mathematics for over 15 years, but it was only when I joined UWCSA five years ago that the essence of teaching and learning impacted my philosophy of education. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, engaging, and accessible for all my students. I continually seek innovative and creative methods to deliver the curriculum.

What is the favourite part of the course you teach?
My favourite part of the course is witnessing the “aha” moments when students grasp a challenging concept. These moments of clarity are incredibly rewarding because they signify not only the students’ understanding but also their growth in confidence and enthusiasm for learning.

Which teaching method do you prefer and why?
I prefer using a conceptual understanding approach combined with interactive learning methods. This approach focuses on ensuring students grasp the underlying concepts behind mathematical procedures, rather than just memorising formulas or algorithms.

What advice would you give to a student of your subject?
Mathematics can be conquered by mastering the basics and practising regularly. Seeking for help whenever there is need.

What is your life motto?
Embrace the journey, not just the destination. This philosophy emphasises the importance of valuing each step of the process, appreciating the experiences and lessons learned along the way, and recognising that growth and fulfilment come from the journey itself, not just reaching the end goal.

What are the three things you can't imagine your life without?
Family, friends and outdoor activities.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy exercising, cooking, watching movies, and spending time with my family.
