What is the favourite part of the course you teach?
My favourite part of the IB economics course is macroeconomics.
Which teaching method you prefer and why?
The environment in my classroom is "charged". I myself try to become an IB learner, like to experiment with different ideas and resources. I encourage my students to be receptive and open-minded and be appreciative of multiple perspectives. The students get very involved in discussions when they start identifying with different stakeholders in an economy and often come up with amazing solutions to the problems posed.
What advice would you give to a student of your subject?
Try to get coherence in your thought process.
Try to read about what is happening in the world around you and connect it to what you study in class.
Be a changemaker!
Who is your role model or mentor or who inspires you?
Ken Robinson was my role model. I believe in bringing creativity in my classroom, just like him.
What is your life motto?
Ignite young minds.
What are the three things you can't imagine your life without?
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to paint mandalas.
