Group 2: Language Acquisition

These courses provide students with the opportunity to study a new language or to deepen their skills in an existing language. They are not designed for native speakers.

ab initio Languages (SL only)

• Russian
• Spanish
• German

ab initio courses develop students' intercultural understanding through the study of a new language. The courses help students to develop their awareness of the relationship between the languages and cultures.

English B (HL only)
Language B course is offered in English. It is designed for students who have between 3 and 5 years of experience in a language and focus on acquiring new skills. It is not suitable for native speakers.
